They're all winners - thanks to Margaret

August 2009                                                                                                          A NANTWICH IN BLOOM PAGE

In Bloom committee "delighted' with so much for judge to see

MARGARET Thrower, the garden expert, judged the entries of Nantwich premises in the Nantwich in Bloom competition on July 23.

Connie Jones, NiB Secretary, said: "The Nantwich in Bloom team is delighted that there was so much work for Margaret Thrower to do when she came to judge the businesses in the town this year.

"Margaret, herself, was really impressed. She is very aware how valuable a pleasant floral streetscape is to a town's vibrancy.

"In these difficult times many of the businesses had made a real contribution to the town's effort, in the knowledge that we need to keep up our image to keep the town alive.

"The result has been that together with the efforts of both local authorities - the Town Council's lengthsman is doing a lot to add to the efforts of  Cheshire East - plus the work of NiB volunteers, the town has, yet again, looked wonderful."
