WELL, it seems Nantwich has
done it again. The town has "been hailed as the most beautiful town in
the north west . . . thanks to the work of the dedicated Nantwich in
Bloom team." So says Andrew Morrison in the September 29 edition of the
Nantwich Guardian.
Congratulations to the team, and
well done - and thank you - to everyone who did their bit with floral
art to help Nantwich towards the honour.
It seems we "scooped a host of
top awards" at the North West in Bloom presentations in Bolton - best
town and most improved town. And now we will

represent the region in next year's Britain in
Bloom contest.
Last year we won the silver-gilt
prize in last year's country-wide awards, and Jean Hallam, one of the
Nantwich in Bloom team wh went to Bolton, told the Guardian that they
would be going for gold next summer. Of course, we were no
stranger to the awards list on many occasions in the past.
Another Nantwich team was a
prizewinner at the same ceremony. Richmond Village, London Road, won a
merit award for making the retirement village look great.
Fingers crossed for next summer.
