Profile-raising litter pick

March 2013

Members of the group in The Square

IT was a case of a Saturday morning Town Centre Litter Pick in February in a campaign to raise awareness of our activities amongst shoppers, retailers and residents.

Thirteen volunteers "picked" more than 30 bags of rubbish in just over an hour. They then answered questions from the public and were encouraged by the appreciation shown and offers of help with future picks.

The morning was rounded off by refreshments at McCormick's cafe in Pepper Street.

Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
