Pickers beat the blues

March 2013 (2)

A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

GROUP members turned out for a clean-up ahead of the Jazz, Blues and Music Festival weekend at the end of March.

More than 20 volunteers braved cold winds to pick along London Road, Crewe Road, Millstone Lane and the surrounding area. A total of 30 bags of litter were collected and later picked up for disposal by Streetscape, Cheshire East Council's street cleansing department.

Volunteers were then glad to thaw out with coffee at the Cafe de Paris in Hospital Street.

For further details please contact Team Leader Joyce Webb on 01270 626435 or email joycewebb47@hotmail.com. New volunteers will be welcome and litter picking kit can be provided. Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
