Group spreads its litter net wider

August 2013                                                                                                                                                                A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

LITTER Group volunteers have once again been active around the town. Starting from the Civic Hall on August 23, volunteers covered a wide area off Beam Street from Manor Road to Volunteer Fields and routes in between.

A large quantity of leaves and rubbish was also cleared from the path next to the Boot and Shoe public house leading to Morrison's supermarket

A total of 30 bags were filled and then collected for disposal by Streetscape, Cheshire East Council's street cleansing department.

Afterwards, the volunteers were invited for a complimentary refreshing tea and an interesting talk by the Wellness Centre in Hospital Street.

For further information about the group and how to join us, please contact Team Leader Joyce Webb on 01270 626435 or email joycewebb47@hotmail.com. Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
