Litter picking year activities coming to close

November 2013                                                                                                                                                            A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

A GROUP Pick by Nantwich Litter Group saw 19 volunteers meet at the Barony Park for a clear up of Barony Road, Middlewich Road, Barony Park, Davenport Avenue to Vauxhall Road and Beam Heath Way.

In about an hour a total of 28 bags of rubbish were filled which, together with other assorted items, were later collected by Cheshire East Council's Streetscape team.

This was followed by coffee and a chat at Pillory    House Coffee Shop on Beam Heath Way.

The final Group Pick of 2013 will be held on Saturday, November 16.

Volunteers will, of course, continue to litter pick their own chosen areas and this ongoing work is at the heart of the Litter Group's success.

THE Group is delighted that Nantwich has won gold

in the Best Town category at the North West in Bloom awards and are proud to have been able to assist Nantwich in Bloom in making sure that the town looked at its best.
