Town Mayor sends pickers on their way

MEETING in front of the Civic Hall in April, 17 Nantwich Litter Picking Group volunteers spread out for a Group Pick including Beam Street, Manor Road, Prince Edward Street, Albert Street and the surrounding area.

    In about an hour, a total of 23 bags of litter were collected and volunteers went on to enjoy welcome refreshments at the M&S cafe in Beam Street.

 

lPictured addressing the pickers before they set off is the former Town Mayor of Nantwich, Cllr John Lewis, who was instrumental in launching the group in 2011.
