Coffee and cake for pickers

May 2015                                                                                                                                                           A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

FOR a recent litter pick, the group members met outside the Wilbraham Bar and Grill (formerly the Wilbraham Arms) in Welsh Row. [By 2016 it was the Wilbrahams Bar and Kitchen].   From there, 12 volunteers fanned out to cover the area from the canal, taking in Queen's Drive and surrounding streets, St Anne's car park and Millfields.

The session finished in Pillory Street where coffee and a surprise birthday cake for Team Leader Joyce Webb were enjoyed at the Pillory House Coffee Shop (left).

THE Litter Group meet for Group Picks at 10am on the last Wednesday of the month, working for about an hour followed by refreshments.

Additionally individual volunteers are supplied with equipment enabling them to tackle litter where and when they choose.

If you would like to get involved, please contact Joyce Webb on 01270 626435 or email joycewebb47@hotmail.com. Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
