Volunteers at work and play

Volunteers assemble at the Barony Park car park

THE Group took to the streets for a "Group Pick" of the area between Barony Road, Davenport Avenue, Manor Road and Beam Street.

A turnout of 18 volunteers worked in small teams to cover the ground efficiently, repairing afterwards for a welcome cup of coffee and chat at McCormick's cafe.

The assistance of Cheshire East's Streetscape Team in collecting filled bags left by the volunteers at agreed points was much appreciated.

New volunteers are always made welcome and anyone who would like to take part in future activities, or has information of grot spots which might be tackled by the group, please contact Joyce Webb on 01270 626435 or email joycewebb47@hotmail.com.

Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
