A good start to a new year

 January 2013

A NANTWICH LITTER GROUP PAGE

A GREAT response to Nantwich Litter Group's first "Group Pick" of 2013 saw 26 volunteers turn out on a cold January morning, meeting at the Barony Park. They tidied areas including Barony Road to the River Weaver, Middlewich Road to Sainsbury's and along Beam Heath Way.

Dozens of bags were filled and later collected by Streetscape, Cheshire East Council's Street Cleansing Department. Afterwards volunteers enjoyed some welcome refreshments and a chat at Pillory House Coffee Shop at Princes Court off Beam Heath Way.

All residents are encouraged to pick up the odd item of litter and place it in a convenient bin as every little helps to keep Nantwich tidy.

Details of litter picks will be posted in What's On - General on this website.
