NANTWICH in Bloom have won a prestigious Gold Medal in the North West in Bloom Awards - for the sixth year in a row.

   They are one of five gold medal winning In Bloom groups in the Best Town category. The awards were presented on one of three evenings at Southport Convention Centre in early November.

   The Nantwich in Bloom Committee was represented at the ceremony by Sue Hughes (Secretary), Steve Otter, June Twelves and Cath Bradshaw.   

   The Nantwich in Bloom Committee has been among the winners in the competition for many years. 

   The group said: "Nantwich in Bloom would like to thank Nantwich Town Council and the traders of Nantwich for their tremendous support and also to thank our wonderful volunteers without whom this would not be possible." 


MANY awards in different categories went the way of organisations in the Cheshire East area.  

   Audlem and Wistaston In Bloom groups received silver gilt medals in the Best Large Village category.

   An award for Outstanding Achievement was won by the Bowling Green Court in Nantwich.

   Alvaston Hotel, off Middlewich Road, received the Best Hotel award.
