(Chairman) writes:
I WAS really
pleased to have secured Adrian Fisher,
Head of Planning and Policy at
Cheshire East Council, to
speak to us before our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 27,
at Nantwich Museum. He
talked about “Aspects of Planning in Cheshire East”.
Here
are up-dates on some of the
issues affecting Nantwich.
Snow Hill:
Last year we wondered if the economic downturn would affect
the proposed development of the area. Well, it did! Cheshire East
Council said that it has been shelved for the foreseeable future.
Welsh Row
turned out to be something of a mixed bag with some good aspects to
the surfacing and some not – the same goes for the traffic calming
features. The loss
of the chains and posts in the name of safety (according to highway
engineers) has been noted by many as regrettable.
