Carnival scene shows former houses

Beam Street

Hello, Andrew,

I have just been looking at the website for images of Beam Street, Nantwich, as it was in the 1950s. My grandmother lived in a cottage opposite Broomhall's butchers shop.

Sadly I have no photographs of the house and regret this very much. I have been looking for several years, but without success. Hopefully you will be able to help me or point me in the right direction.
Many thanks

Hello Iolen,

As it happens I do have a photograph which includes some of the cottages which were opposite Broomhall's shop.

It is actually a photo taken of Nantwich Carnival in 1966 and shows a float carrying Nantwich Football Queen with the cottages in the background.

I hope that this will be of some help to you.
